Paul Jacobs, The M.D. and owner of The Transport Manager started in the industry 40 years ago as a small boy washing vehicles and sweeping warehouse floors on the weekend for his fathers family business.

Since then he has worked for the family business but also left the fold and established himself as a successful operator for the corporate parcels sector.

In 2006, he left the corporate rat race and established The Transport Manager and its success is due to the straightforward and honest dealings with all clients.

Paul has established a network of professionals from drivers to transport managers with the same ethos to enable the business to grow.

Legislation: Unfortunately legislation is becoming a burden and very confusing. However, unless we comply our business will suffer and the company and directors could face serious penalties.

This doesn’t have to be as complicated as it seems. Some good robust basic systems can ensure that “all the i’s are dotted and t’s crossed.
